There’s caramel corn, then there’s HOMEMADE caramel corn and they don’t even belong in the same category.
It’s easy to make and even teenage boys will make it with you (see video) for their teachers.
This has been a long time fall recipe in our family and we make it every year.
We served it at every fall Hootenanny party we ever had & it makes an appearance at fall dinners with friends.
The recipe is modified from an Amish woman I met in Lancaster County in my 20’s. This just solidifies my obsession with the Amish.
This makes a perfect friend, neighbor, or teacher gift also – for the holidays or just for the everyday. Everyone seems to love homemade caramel corn.
PACKAGING IDEAS
I like to put a huge batch in a big jar and put cute ribbon on it with a gift tag. For smaller portions, I put some of the goodness in clear gift bags and also wrap with ribbon.
