An amazing teacher at our elementary school hosts a homemade Valentine’s box competition every year in his classroom. It is so much fun to see what the kids come up with and how excited they get over their creations.
I love it because it brings the homemade spirit back to the celebration. I know everyone can run down to Target and pick up some darling products, but the kids don’t have to use any of their creativity or skills to grab something off the shelf. These may not be as buttoned up, but they are far more fun.
Encourage your child to make their own box this year. Use these ideas as inspiration!

More Valentine Tips:
Bring teachers, friends, family, or neighbors their own special kind of Valentine…. STARBUCKS!
Or instead of Valentine cards, how about Valentine DONUTS? My youngest son loved doing this as his tradition.
Thank you for including my Monster Boxes in this fun round up of ideas for valentines boxes!
You bet Mariah – I just love the monster box idea!!!
This is a great idea! I love the creativity expressed. The giraffe is awesome and I’m going to have to seriously contemplate the doughnut Valentine. I’m following on Google +. I don’t use Facebook or Twitter. Is there any way to get the freebies anyway? I did sign up for your 31 day challenge. Glad I found you!
So glad you did also! You can get the freebies by signing up for the email list (which it sounds like you already did). Look under the Freebies page 😉 Glad to have you!
