We’ve all been wired differently—on purpose.
We have been gifted differently with unique skills, talents, abilities, and intelligences that are different than those around us. What is a heavy lift for me will not be for you… and vice versa.
I saw this play out in a really personal way last week.
After my surgery, my husband Erik—an intuitive doctor—noticed something was off. He pushed for specific tests, trusted his instincts, and long story short… he saved my life.
I’m still in shock. Still wrapping my head around how fast things unfolded. But one thing I know for sure: God was with me, and He provided through Erik.
Our family verse is 1 Peter 4:10 – “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms…”
In other words:
Use what you’ve got.
We don’t always know what to say when someone’s struggling. We don’t always have a perfect plan or the right words. But here’s the good news:
You don’t have to do everything—you just need to doyourthing.
You can…
- Cook a meal
- Clean a house
- Offer professional advice
- Make someone laugh
- Play some music
- Help with finances
- Wash a car
- Organize chaos
Ask yourself: What’s already in my hands?
Chances are, it’s more than you think.
And when you use your gifts—even the simple ones—to lift someone else?
That’s grace in action. That’s love on display.
And every little bit counts more than you’ll ever know.
It did for me.
