We are trying to become a family who eats a lot of fish. It doesn’t come super naturally, but I’m trying! Recipes like these make it easier. What I like about this one is that it is fast and simple, using ingredients that I always have on hand. You can use this sauce for chicken as well.
Any white fish will do, though halibut is especially tasty. Grill this up on a summer night, add rice, and you have a delicious meal to eat under the stars on the patio.
- 4 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 4 tsp. soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 lb. halibut steaks or other white fish fillets
- Combine the brown sugar, garlic, lemon juice, soy sauce, and butter in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Brush the mixture on the halibut, coating both sides.
- Grill the halibut over medium heat for 4 min. per side or until opaque in center.
